Responsibilities
- Assemble components and subassemblies according to production specifications and blueprints
- Operate and maintain machinery and tools used in the production process
- Ensure products are assembled correctly and meet quality standards
- Perform regular checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality
- Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the Manufacturing Supervisor
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comply with company policies and regulations
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the appropriate supervisor
- Handle raw materials and components, including loading and unloading
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Assist with minor repairs and troubleshooting of production equipment
- Work collaboratively with other manufacturing employees and departments to achieve production goals
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production progress and issues.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest improvements to production processes
- Build pallets and crates as needed for shipments
- Must be willing to work overtime as business needs dictate
- Perform other duties as assigned including on other departments within the manufacturing process
