Responsibilities
Welding Technician with industrial welding and fabrication experience to support equipment and facility repairs, fabrication projects, and welding equipment upkeep. This role includes clear advancement pathways across three technical levels based on experience and certifications. This role will also need an individual who is mechanically sound. This role requires mechanical line maintenance as well.
Key Duties:
- Perform Arc, MIG, and TIG welding in all positions.
- Select proper rods, wires, and gases based on job needs.
- Execute cutting tasks (oxy-fuel, plasma, saw).
- Read blueprints and fabricate parts with precision.
- Conduct welding repairs on equipment and site structures.
- Maintain and calibrate welding tools.
- Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Level I: 1–2 years welding or technical training.
- Level II: 3–5 years in industrial welding/fabrication.
- Level III: 6+ years with Arc, MIG, and TIG certifications.
- Technical drawing literacy, metalwork knowledge, excellent math and troubleshooting skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Lift up to 80 lbs; work in heat, noise, vibration, and outdoor conditions.
