Responsibilities

• Make and re-grind tooling to close tolerances used on machines throughout the operation.
• Rework gauges and gauge plugs.
• Check vendor tooling on a limited basis.
• Repair fixtures, jigs, and tools utilizing complex prints and interface with engineering.
• Visit the shop floor to troubleshoot issues.
• Requisition supplies as needed.
• Work independently and select materials, standards, and methods to be used.
• Proceed from own conception in the absence of specifications or design detail.
• Train others and assign work as necessary.
• Maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Ensure the highest degree of quality, safety, cost reduction, and customer service continuously.
