We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at our Cairo facility. This position is critical for maintaining plant machinery, utilities, and equipment across the production floor. You’ll bring hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems, along with a great focus on safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.

salary: $16.5 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive maintenance on production, process, and utility equipment.
  
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, prints, and diagrams.
  
  
• Plan and execute repairs, adjustments, and alignments to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  
  
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including circuits, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and rewire motors, including variable speed and forward/reverse configurations.
  
  
• Support facility upkeep, including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and air compressor systems.
  
  
• Fabricate and assemble components or specialized parts for plant use.
  
  
• Maintain records of machine maintenance, inspections, and part usage.
  
  
• Provide support to other departments and assist with in-plant equipment relocations or upgrades.
  
  
• Inspect and maintain fire safety equipment and perform basic lift truck repairs.
