Randstad is currently hiring for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join our client’s food production facility in Ronkonkoma, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in the meat or food industry who is passionate about ensuring product safety, consistency, and quality in a fast-paced environment.   Qualifications:

• Prior QA experience in the food or meat industry is required
  
  
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and USDA standards
  
  
• attention to detail and organizational skills
  
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  
  
• Comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments
  
  
•  verbal and written communication skills
  
  
•  English/Spanish a plus
  
  

salary: $52,000 - $80,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality inspections on raw materials, in-process, and finished products
  
  
• Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  
  
• Conduct swab testing, temperature checks, and visual inspections
  
  
• Document findings and maintain accurate quality records and reports
  
  
• Assist with internal audits, regulatory inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
  
  
• Communicate effectively with production staff and supervisors to address any quality issues promptly
  
  
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, USDA, and other applicable regulations
