Responsibilities
- Operating Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, move materials within the warehouse, or to transport goods to designated storage areas.
- Material Handling: Transport materials to different areas of the warehouse or job site, ensuring that they are moved in a safe, efficient manner.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload items from delivery trucks, containers, or shelves, using the forklift to stack or move items into the appropriate areas.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory by ensuring proper storage of goods, conducting inventory checks, and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety regulations and company policies, including wearing safety gear, performing daily checks on the forklift, and ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in proper working order, report any mechanical issues, and assist with basic maintenance as needed.
- Organization: Organize and arrange goods in a manner that maximizes space efficiency and ensures safe access to stored items.
