Responsibilities
General Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure that all customer orders are filled in a timely manner. This position is responsible for the safety, quality, food safety, productivity, training and paperwork of processing rooms under responsibility. Processes include bone broth cooking, evaporation and pasteurization.
Essential Job Duties: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for labor, materials utilization, and safety standards
• Makes sure to plan, schedule and get orders out to customers timely
• Train employees in the proper use of equipment and how to do their work
• Cross training employees in all aspects of job for sustainability
• Work interdepartmental to achieve processing room needs, Warehouse, Quality, Sanitation, maintenance, etc.
• Meet product quality, and food safety expectations again standards
• Attend and actively participate in meetings as needed
• Look for ways to save company money
• Train employees in the use of KPI’s and metrics
Required Education and Experience:
• Education: Technical background related to job or equivalent work experience. Degree highly desirable
• 10 years of related experience
• Broth aseptic processing knowledge
• Shelf stable background
• Evaporation and pasteurization experience
The essential functions of this role include:
- working in a smoke free environment
- working in a non-temperature controlled environment
- manual lifting up to 50lbs
- standing for 10 hours at one time
- working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
