Responsibilities
- CNC Machine Operation: Proven ability to set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines, lathes, or other CNC equipment.
- Programming Basics: Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming, with the ability to interpret, input, and edit programs. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for program generation may be required for some positions.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications accurately. This includes understanding dimensions, tolerances, and symbols.
- Precision Measurement: Skill in using various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges) to inspect parts and verify they meet quality standards.
- Tooling Knowledge: Understanding different cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, and fixtures, and knowing how to select and change them correctly.
- Basic Machine Maintenance: Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks like lubrication and cleaning.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy to operate the machine interface and potentially manage programs and documentation.
