Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory in assigned areas according to established schedules and procedures.
- Accurately count and record quantities of materials, parts, and finished goods.
- Compare physical counts to inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or other inventory management tools.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and misplaced items.
- Research the root causes of inventory discrepancies and work with relevant departments (e.g., warehouse, receiving, shipping) to determine and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate cycle count records, reports, and documentation of findings and adjustments.
- Update inventory records in the system to reflect accurate counts and adjustments, following proper authorization and procedures.
- Assist in the development and improvement of inventory control policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate cycle count findings, discrepancies, and potential issues to the appropriate personnel and departments in a timely manner.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, scanner) safely and efficiently, as required.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
