job summary:
Order Preparation: Accurately prepare outgoing customer orders based on delivery notes from sales staff and SAP database entries. Slit film rolls to specified sizes as required by the customer, re-box, label, and prepare them for collection by courier or dealer Will Call. Reduce 100-foot film rolls as needed, inspect for quality and quantity, and re-box accordingly. Ensure all orders are filled correctly and securely packaged to minimize the risk of damage during transport and delivery. Use a computer and handheld scanner to process incoming goods and customer orders. Utilize the computerized dispatch system to generate labels for shipments carried by courier. Warehousing: Monitor stock levels and relay information on expected customer requirements to the Service Center management in a timely and accurate manner. Unload incoming stock deliveries and verify the accuracy of the packing list before shelving. Provide assistance in the Will Call department as needed, ensuring all customer interactions are professional and adhere to company policies. Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards. Stay qualified for forklift operation and maintain certification to safely handle loading, unloading, and movement of goods within the warehouse. Ensure the warehouse is kept in a safe working condition at all times. Returns: Inspect and process returned faulty films, initiate appropriate credit notes, and forward them to the warranty department for further action.
