job summary:
Assemble mechanical components according to assembly drawings, work instructions, change orders, and other documentation using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and dimensional measuring tools. - Responsible for completing project specific documents such as checkout sheets, test documents, and following project specific work instructions. - Assist in testing and troubleshooting the operation of sub-assemblies and/or machines to verify correct operation and conformance to customer specifications. - Mount sensors, cameras, motors, and other electrical devices; install cables and route back to termination points. - Work with other technicians, engineers, project managers, and inter-departmental staff to resolve issues. - Train and assist new employees as needed. - Exercise safe work habits & maintain a clean and safe working area. - Display good work ethics and co-operation with management and peers. - Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned (e.g., making of cable assemblies, electro-mechanical assemblies, shipping & receiving, performing light fabrication/machining, etc.). - Any other reasonable activity as required by management.
