Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Assurance Coordinator supports the daily activities and coordinates the tasks needed to maintain the quality management system. The Quality Coordinator will provide overall management of the document control, customer complaint, and corrective action processes. This individual will also provide critical support for the effective implementation of the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 Quality Management Systems. This position is contract to hire. Oversees customer complaint system to ensure that all customer complaints received are appropriately investigated and concluded per the organization's complaint handling procedure. Maintains records resulting from the complaint process and assists in analyzing trends for continuous improvement. Provides leadership in internal Customer Service, Operations and Sales Complaint Review meetings. Acts as an administrator for document control processes company-wide including monitoring reviews, assisting in overseeing entry of new documents into QMS, processing revisions, ensuring documents adhere to company standards and are relevant to business operations in accordance with supported ISO standards. Initiates Corrective Actions (CAs) company-wide if appropriate resulting from internal non-conformances, vendor non-conformances, internal audits and customer audits or feedback. Coordinates root cause analysis activities and drives effective closure of these CAs. Supervises corrective action resolution and maintains documentation resulting from the CA process. Assists Quality Manager to coordinate and support external audits. Arranges and coordinates scheduling with external auditors, and participates in the audit as needed. Participates in conducting internal audits of documented company processes to relevant standards. Reports out on corrective actions, observations and opportunities for improvement. Maintains quality department training records and assists in administration of the company-wide training record system. Follows up on any pending training needs company-wide. Participates in continuous improvement activities, in conjunction with Continuous Improvement staff, to reduce non-conformances and improve business operation outcomes.
