Plain or Filled churros come through the Spiral Freezer and down the slide onto the packing conveyor. When there is a churro change (different type, size, or flavor), a plastic marker will come out of the Spiral Freezer and unto the packing conveyor, indicating to the packers that a churro change has been made. Place one Food-Grade plastic bag into the bag holder air tube. Churros are selected according to specifications, target visuals, and verbal instructions. Twenty-five (25) churros are counted and placed into each bag. The standard set for this process is a minimum of 3 bags per minute. Turning your entire body, place the bagged churros onto the conveyor behind you. Packer positioned at the first position of the conveyor line, next to the control panel, is responsible for pausing the conveyor, if needed, avoiding excessive pilling up or churro falling on floor at the end of the conveyor. Packers rotate to the next position on the conveyor line each time they return from a break, approximately every two hours.
