We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders, with the ability to set up and operate machinery without supervision. The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a strong understanding of mechanical systems and blueprints. Candidates must be team-oriented, communicative, and willing to learn. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools to fabricate precision parts. Inspect parts for defects such as scratches, dents, or dimensional inconsistencies, and make necessary repairs. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining requirements. Make operating notes regarding machine settings, cutting tools, and production procedures. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Understand and apply both imperial and metric measurement systems (Inch & MM). Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and quality standards. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and accept guidance and constructive criticism from supervisors and colleagues. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards. Perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Qualifications: Proven experience in machine operations, particularly with lathes and mills. Welding experience is a plus. Strong understanding of mathematics and measurement systems (Inch & MM). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback. Must be physically able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods. Additional Skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and process documentation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
