We are looking for a person who operates a sewing machine in a manufacturing or production setting. They are responsible for stitching together different types of fabric or other materials according to a specified design or pattern.Their duties may include:
- Setting up and maintaining sewing machines – Ensuring the machines are in good working condition.
- Following production specifications – Sticking to designs, measurements, and stitching patterns.
- Operating various types of sewing machines – Depending on the job, sewing operators may use straight stitch machines, overlock machines, or specialty machines.
- Quality control – Ensuring the finished product is free of defects and meets company standards.
- Cutting and preparing materials – Some operators may assist in cutting fabric or aligning pieces before stitching.
salary: $17/hr
work hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
