job summary:
- Must have prior experience safely and securely boxing all shipments from a range of 5 to 50 pounds. The candidate must understand the importance of box size and thickness in order to make sound decisions to prevent a customer's shipment being damage in transit. - The candidate must have prior qc (quality control) experience. This position is the last check on the order to make sure it is correct before being shipped. The candidate must be able to check off and sign a paper sales order to verify that all parts listed on the sales order are being placed into the box in a organize fashion. If the parts pulled for the order are incorrect it is the boxer's job to be that last line of defense before the shipment leaves the facility. - Must have prior experience with preparing freight shipments to include knowledge of steel strapping wheel, tensioner and sealer. Knowledge of the correct way to utilize shrink wrap effectively. - Some knowledge of UPS World ship, FedEx shipping and My carrier software's. - Must have general computer skills Be advised applicants with previous behavioral issue's, unexcused absences, excessive tardiness will not be accepted. There is absolutely no cell phone usage permitted inside the warehouse. Please note the first 90 days are a zero-tolerance period for any and all violations listed.
