Key responsibilities for this position include: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily: The lab technician will be expected to perform analytical testing on all product produced in the facility. The lab technician will be expected to perform Micro Testing on Crystallizer (SPC) produced in the facility. The lab technician will be expected to perform retest/cutoff Testing on all product produced in the facility. The position requires proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft (word, excel, PowerPoint). The position will work with SAP, Matrix, and Quality Suite etc. to perform functions critical to quality. The lab technician will work with internal customers to ensure all quality related issues are. addressed. The lab technician will be expected to become proficient in understanding the importance of food safety, aseptic sampling of product, and to execute these tasks in a timely manner. The position will support meeting satisfactory scores on all LHD Quality Systems assessments as they relate to QRMP and HACCP, FSSC. Support of Quality Systems (HACCP, GMP's, Hold and Release and Calibration) training to all LHD employees will be expected. Assist in management of potential product or process out-of-specification situations (i.e., investigations and root causes) and corrective and preventative action plans to be implemented. The lab technician will be expected to escalate out-of-spec results to production via radio call real-time. Perform other assignments as directed. Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement, and ongoing maintenance. Comply with our policies and procedures as related to LHD Management System. Required: Computer skills (Word & Excel) Desired: · Sound Communication skills (Oral & Written) Strong Interpersonal Skills. · Drive for Results (involvement in projects, safety efforts, plant and or occupational improvements) · Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. · Availability to work a variety of shifts/hours according to business needs. · Effective use of time management and organization skills. · Ability to set and manage multiple tasks with minimal direction. · Must work in a safe, sanitary, and productive manner in a
