job summary:
We are looking for someone to fill a Grind position at Jtekt in Telford, Tn. This is a B Tech position. Essential Duties and Accountabilities: - Follow Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instructions. Perform work in a systematic manner when possible to insure all steps are carried out in proper sequence. Adhere to Standard Work. - Determine causes of machine malfunctions, make adjustments or repair in order for machines to process materials in accordance with specifications. - Perform adjustments and address short stops to reduce production line stop. Perform tool changes. - Perform operational preventive maintenance according to schedules. Assist in grinding wheel changes. - Check cycle times to insure production process is in accordance with process specifications. - Read dial indicators and other measuring devices to insure quality standards are met. If manufacturing process is causing quality issues, Set-Up Operator will stop production and consult with Group Leader personnel to correct. (Stop, Call, and Wait). - Set-Up equipment for production. Record production results, quality checks, and scrap as required. - This is a temp to hire and a pay increase will be available at the end of your 90 days.
