Functional Responsibilities Full compliance with all forklift job safety analysis of the safe operating procedures. Must also comply with general plant safety requirements, including but not limited to lockout/tagout, Do Not Touch, safe lifting and material handling practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) and housekeeping requirements. Maintain records and accuracy of all shipping orders and receiving paperwork. Completing orders per customer specifications on the order and notes and/or management's requests. Ensure warehouse, dock area, shipping area and production areas are in an orderly and safe condition. Utilize dock area efficiently with complete work orders. Ensure all truck orders are correctly loaded and call corresponding truck lines to set up pick-ups. Ensuring FedEx and UPS orders are correctly tagged with labels and corresponding paperwork. Load and unload raw material and finished goods to and from trucks as well as move material to and from storage and production areas. Maintain constant alertness when loading and transporting materials to prevent damage to finished goods and prevent waste. Complete a pre-use inspection of the forklift/clamp truck, completing all items on the checklist. Report any deficiencies to the maintenance department. Monitor truck operation during the shift and report any malfunctions to maintenance. Supplies various machines with materials and supplies as needed. Maintains all documents and records in a complete, legible, accurate and timely manner. Inform supervisor of any shipments that have not been picked up or will not be picked up in a timely manner. Inform second shift personnel of any LTL carriers that will be in for pickup. Move product and material into or out of work areas. Keep all work areas stocked with material. Wrap products, weigh as needed, and complete all proper product documentation. Unload incoming product, verify all paperwork is accurate and correct and that material does not have any damage or defects. Responsible for full compliance with safety and housekeeping; work in a safe manner; communicate all pertinent information to his/her relief during shift change. Assist in assuring HACCP, GMP's, work instructions, Job Safety Analysis and Food Safety Quality system requirements (SQF) are in compliance.
