job summary:
The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Production Operator will observe and operate a variety of machines and functions on the warehouse floor. Unpacks and packages orders. Evaluates parts for cleanliness. Degreases parts. Operates all air ovens, freezers and inspection test equipment. Uses load thermocouples in dummy blocks or parts. Reviews air temper and freezer charts. Sets-up parts (with the exception of certain tool steel runs). Chooses different tempering temperatures to achieve the specified hardness. Loads are monitored. Plans and changes-out temper and freeze loads. Inspects and measures the straightness of parts. Performs hardness testing.
