job summary:
As a picker packer you will be responsible for finding and collecting merchandise in a warehouse and prepare the items for shipment to customers. May use a computer or scanner to check inventory and locate items. You will load items onto dollies or conveyer belts to move them throughout the distribution center, and assemble packages for shipping. You will also inspect merchandise, stock, categorize, count and tag inventory. Requires bending, lifting, standing, walking. Cell Phones & Music Cell phones are not permitted on the production floor or warehouse floor at any time. Usage is restricted to use in designated areas only. The breakroom is currently the only designated area. If you have an emergency, you must obtain approval from your Supervisor or Manager to step away from your work area. No earbuds or radios are allowed on the warehouse/production floor at any time. This includes refraining from playing music on computer workstations. Food & Drinks Food is not allowed in the work areas at any time. This includes chips, sunflower seeds, and anything from the vending area in the break room. If anything is purchased from the vending area in the break room, then it is to be eaten during break or lunch times and in the break area only. Your Company branded drinkware (i.e., Spirit water bottle or Spirit tumbler) or any container with a spill-proof lid is the only type of container allowed in work area. No glass bottles, pop-top cans, lidded cups or other drinking containers are allowed on the floor. Breaks Breaks and lunches are to be taken in the designated break room area. You can sit at your work area/station, but no food is allowed. You are only allowed in the break room during the time of your break(s)and lunches. You must be back at your station when the final bell rings or you will be considered late. For safety reasons, you must alert your Supervisor or Manager if you need to leave your work area during a non-break or lunch time. Clear Bags All items brought into the facility should be in a clear bag which is subject to search by management or security staff. Only clear bags will be allowed in the facility including lunch bags. Team members are permitted to have a bag for personal items; this bag may be no larger than 4in x 6in. Timesheets/Hours Hours are approved at the end of each pay period. All issues should be reported to your Manager prior to 8am the Monday of the pay week.
