job summary:
As a welder, you will cut, shape and combine materials to make different parts for a variety of industries. Pick the materials to join or cut and then arrange them in an appropriate configuration. Fix structural repairs and maintain welding equipment. We are looking for someone with a bit of manufacturing experience, more on the production side of things. I'm not looking for a welder/fabricator. It's more of a machine operator position. I'm willing to look at applications with minimal experience as well. This would be considered an entry level position. Job description 1. Resistance welding and/or fabrication of hollow metal components for door frames, borrowed lites, sidelites, etc. using new material, or by reworking stock products according to work order, blueprints, sketches, templates, elevations etc. 2. Ensuring proper safety measures while working, such as donning protective gear for face and body. In case of equipment malfunction, immediately turn off and inform Manufacturing Supervisor. 3. Quality control check on all labor work orders (verify based on work order) 4. Read through the work order and fully understand the work to be performed before beginning. 5. Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop/working area. 6. Proper packing, labeling, bundling and tagging of the of the products if needed. 7. Maintaining and servicing of equipment as needed or required. 8. Organized handling of completed parts. 9.
