job summary:
The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for managing and transporting raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the production facility. This role ensures that materials are delivered to the appropriate workstations in a timely and efficient manner to support smooth production operations. Key Responsibilities: Load, unload, and move raw materials, parts, and finished products between storage, production areas, and shipping. Ensure materials are delivered to the correct production lines or workstations according to production schedules. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of material movements, inventory counts, and material usage. Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies. Stage materials for production and ensure work areas are stocked with necessary supplies. Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment. Assist with general warehouse organization and cleanliness. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or similar role in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred or required based on company policy). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret work orders, inventory sheets, and shipping documents. Basic computer skills to log and track inventory data. Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-production environment. Ability to bend, stoop, and lift materials as needed.
