Key requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards. Inspection skills: Proficiency in using inspection tools like calipers, micrometers, scales, and height gauges. Blueprint reading: Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Industry regulations: Familiarity with relevant aerospace standards like AS9100 & ISO 9001 & AS9102 FAI experience is a plus. Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime with the possibility of being assigned to a future split shift. U.S. Citizen: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green card holder. Key responsibilities: Inspecting products and materials: Performing thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify any defects or deviations from engineering specifications and/or drawings. Conducting measurements: Using measuring tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances of products against the design engineering data set. Documenting findings: Recording inspection results, including details of defects, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken in detailed reports and logs. Communicating with production teams: Reporting quality issues to production personnel and collaborating to address concerns and implement corrective actions. Maintaining quality standards: Ensuring adherence to established quality management systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Important skills: Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and ability to identify even minor defects. Technology: Basic computer literacy, including scanning and filing inspection reports along with the ability to use Excel, Word, and ability to learn basic ERP shop inventory transactions. Problem-solving: Identifying issues and finding solutions to quality concerns. Communication skills: Clearly documenting findings and communicating with engineers and production teams. Teamwork: Collaborating with other quality inspectors and production personnel
