job summary:
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products into and out of a warehouse; under supervision and established guidelines of the Warehouse Manager. - Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments. - Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Marks materials with identifying information. - Prepares merchandise for shipment, as required. - Communicate any order changes to Warehouse Manager - Assist Warehouse Manager with delivery of cargo. - Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, complies with PPE and regulations. A successful individual will need to have the following skills/characteristics: - Highly motivated, positive attitude, team player charismatic personality. - Ability to learn and follow basic principles of warehouse. - Ability to safely and efficiently operate a pallet jack. - Ability to utilize proper bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, dismounting and threepoints of contact techniques. - Ability to work overtime, if needed. - Knowledge of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, etc. - Positive interpersonal skills. - Detail oriented, self-starter with organizational skills. - Ability to multi-task, while working in a fast -paced environment. - Reliable transportation. This individual should also have had the following experiences: - Minimum of 1 year of previous warehouse and/or flooring experience

qualifications:
- up to 50 lbs. (heavy lifting)
- Successful performance on a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Test.
- Build, wrap, sort pallets
- Operate RF scanner
- Load, unload materials & equipment
- Operate hand truck/dolly
