job summary:
Inspects and tests product for conformance to established tolerances on both established product specifications and sample/development products. Inspection and measurement of parts to validate new molds, tooling and stamping dies for conformance. Skills Product Inspection Testing Blueprints Calibrating Gauges Writing reports First Yield Pass Math and Calculation measuring Responsibilities Ability to measure angular dimensions, radii, contours, clearances, and other specifications. Ability to use common measurement equipment (measure microscope, calipers, micrometers, dial depth gauges) to accurately measure and record measurement results. Inspects, adjusts, and verifies accuracy of gauges and measuring instruments for conformance to specifications. Recommends changes or modifications. Calibrates gauges and documents results. Uses microscope to inspect changeover parts received from the Molding and Stamping Depts. Performs first piece production run. Writes reports regarding inspection and testing results.
