job summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our production team. This role involves setting up and operating tube machines to ensure high-quality output while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret job orders prior to setup and operation. - Inspect top tubes for defects (e.g., stuck poly, ripped gussets, cracks, holes). - Maintain quality production by ensuring proper machine feeding and folder cleaning. - Keep glue hoppers and auto-feeders filled with quality materials. - Coordinate with inspector/stacker for quality assurance and reclaim support. - Perform machine setups, preventative maintenance, and cleaning. - Record downtime and other data using Shoplogix and Baan systems. - Conduct metal detection tests and maintain records. - Remove jams, empty scrap containers, and perform lockout/tagout procedures. - Assist in training new team members and follow plant safety guidelines. - Work in other areas or perform outside duties as directed. - Overtime may be required.
