job summary:
REQUIRED Experience: BS in Occupational Safety and Health, engineering or related degree or 3 years experience in Occupational Safety and Health management Working knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulatory requirements. Excellent computer skills with MS Office (Ppt, Outlook, Excel, Word) Adobe PDF, Adobe Publishing Assist in implementation and coordination of EHS standard work and safety process efforts for the site as assigned. Assist with the development and training of the EHS Gensuite operating system for the site. Collect, input and analyze EHS related data to determine actions that help ensure compliance and continual improvement. Assist in maintaining the EHS Sharepoint site and promoting its use. Participate on various Safety Committees and help drive action items to completion. Assist the EHS Leader with new Emergency Operating Plans and site training. Conduct, review and track EHS inspections and audits of the office areas, R&D, Factory, warehouse, and overall site to identify existing or potential risks and hazards. Ensure the recommended corrective or preventative measures are completed in a timely manner and information shared with affected employees and supervisors. Participate in investigation of incidents/accidents/near misses/safety concerns and ensure corrective actions and preventative measures are implemented and completed. Ensure contractors and subcontractors have implemented an effective safety process by conducting pre-qualification reviews, reviewing safety plans, participating in pre-construction safety meetings and by visiting/auditing work areas on a regular basis. Visit work areas on a regular basis and conduct audits to ensure effective implementation of the safety process and standard work. Ensure all safety related records are accurately maintained and in compliance with OSHA or other regulatory agency rules and regulations and company procedures. Assist in development, update and implementation of applicable safety policies, plans and procedures to be followed in compliance with company, local, state, and federal rules and regulations. Analyze safety data and EHS Metrics to help coordinate the safety effort for continual improvement.
