job summary:
Responsible for distributing parts to Operations Technicians, maintaining inventory levels. As time and training progresses more responsibility with vendor communication and purchase ordering can occur. Update department inventory database to account for new receipts, cycle count adjustments, and other transactions that impact inventory levels. Investigate discrepancies to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to minimize variances. Conducting physical inventories and cycle counts to validate inventory levels and ensure accurate control is maintained over inventory. Research, report and resolve all discrepancies. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels. Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and prioritize simultaneously. Desire and ability to learn, including the ability to become proficient using various software applications, such as warehouse/inventory management applications (i.e. Oracle, RPM, etc.). Must work weekends and overtime especially during Proxy Season (March - May) and throughout the year as needed Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexibility to work overtime (nights, weekends, holidays) as required.
