We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support our client's industrial network infrastructure in San Pedro, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing wireless and wired network equipment, as well as a excellant understanding of industry standards and best practices. This role requires proficiency in producing effective process and procedure documentation.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee IT service delivery for the entire network.
- Act as the primary point of contact with contractors' experts to standardize local hardware platforms, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Drive cyber security compliance and excellence in line with regional strategies.
- Ensure robust business continuity, redundancy, high availability processes, and disaster recovery plans.
- Work actively to achieve agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Build and enhance IT service management and IT network infrastructure expertise within the local IT team.
- Communicate effectively within the IT team to align priorities and reach agreements on conflicting objectives.
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and patching agendas to ensure minimal operational disruption, following proper change control processes.
- Maintain standard 24x7 network and automation monitoring services.
- Create and maintain network flow diagrams for all business applications in compliance with industry standards.
- Follow technology innovations in the network and virtualization domain, advising on their applicability.
- Support the Data Center Core network infrastructure management to ensure a high-availability environment meeting automation demands.
- Implement the latest Data Center management techniques as part of the modernization agenda.
- Interface with the automation team to provide guidance on hardware fixes configured from the terminal infrastructure landscape.
- Contribute actively to troubleshooting major incidents to restore business operations promptly.
- Support root cause analysis for major incidents impacting terminal operations and ensure deployment of identified countermeasures.
- Experience: Minimum five (5) years managing and implementing complex network platforms; experience with large-scale networks preferred. Minimum five (5) years of project handling/coordination and process documentation.
- Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Cisco hardware, implementation, and support.
- CCNA certification is a must; CCIE preferred.
- Familiarity with platforms, networking, and protocols (TCP/IP, Profibus, ProfiNET, ASI, CAN-Bus).
- Extensive understanding of wireless connectivity and LTE environments.
- Basic familiarity with Linux.
- ITIL V4 Certification is recommended.
- Knowledge of Continuous Improvement/LEAN/Six Sigma.
- strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, empathy, cultural understanding, and communication skills.
- Leadership abilities to meet objectives, high-quality work under pressure, analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, organization, punctuality, persistence, and internal client service skills.
- Management experience in leading infrastructure teams and vendors.
- Advanced data analysis skills and a good understanding of the terminal operating model.
- Credibility with terminal leadership teams.
- Experience with Agile principles and methods.
- Experience applying WOW (Lean) standards and tooling.
- Working experience managing demands and problem-solving.
- Deep knowledge of Cisco hardware, implementation, and support.
- CCIE certification.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- University or higher vocational degree and certification in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
