Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in New Product Development. This position involves overseeing the complete design process, from creating specifications and simulations to prototyping, validation testing, and obtaining necessary agency certifications (CE & UL). The engineer will drive the product lifecycle from concept to production release while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a leadership role in the development of new products.
- Define and document product specifications.
- Conduct design simulations and prototyping.
- Perform validation testing to ensure product reliability.
- Work closely with regulatory agencies (UL, CSA, etc.) for certification approvals.
- Oversee the final release of products for manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of digital, analog, microprocessor, ASIC, and PCB design.
- Expertise in EMI mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with encoder magnetics and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of communication buses and protocols (RS-232, RS-485, I²C, SPI, CAN, etc.).
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and debugging electronic circuits.
- Minimum of 5 years in circuit design and product development.
- Background in electric motor controls.
- Proficiency in real-time embedded C programming.
- Experience in industrial automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
