Description of position: The programmer will support internally-funded retrospective research studies, from development of research question, study design and methods, Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposal development and approval; through analytic data base development, data analysis, interpretation of results; to development of abstracts, presentations and publications.

Qualifications
- Required Level of Education and Preferred Level of Education: Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health or similar.
- How many years of related experience are you looking for in your ideal candidate? 3 years
- Specific Systems Knowledge Required: Oracle, PC, VPN
- Specific Systems Knowledge Preferred: Oracle, PC, VPN
- Certification?: SAS Base Programming Specialist certified + proficiency in SQL required and SAS Advanced Programming Professional certified preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience with study design and statistical methods
- Minimum 1 year medical or health analytics experience
- Minimum 2 years statistical modeling experience using SAS, R or other advanced statistical package
- Minimum 2 years experience working with SQL
- Minimum 2 years experience with Excel
- Minimum 1 year statistical consulting experience
- Experience writing methods sections and conducting power analyses for grant proposals preferred
- Publications experience as an author in medical or scientific journals preferred
- Experience with KP data systems preferred but not required
- Candidates must be detail oriented, organized, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
