Job Duties -
- Integrate C2BMC software into the C2BMC test suites at the MDIOC, primarily Virtual servers; develop site and event specific configurations to support test, war games, and exercise events
- Operate and troubleshoot C2BMC systems during test events
- Work with external National Team (CLAW) personnel to resolve test lab issues; work with
C2BMC Operations and Sustainment as well as Level-II support personnel to resolve
installation and processing issues
- Create and modify scripts to extract specific information from log files; perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data; troubleshoot both test and operational issues; document test results and prepare test status documentation
- Author Spiral and build-level test plan documents and procedures; create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues
- Assist software development personnel with the investigation and resolution of issues; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents; develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures to test C2BMC in an integrated environment or to test specific capabilities
- Plan and lead integration C2BMC tests with external elements and sensors; review and provide feedback of system specifications, development, test, network documents as necessary
- Attend meetings with other C2BMC FAs, customers, etc., and represent the Integration team Position is based in Colorado Springs at the MDIOC but sometimes multi-week travel to customer sites (e.g., EUCOM, CENTCOM) and contractor sites (e.g., Huntsville, HWY83) may be required. Ability to travel is a requirement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Project Management - Assist in monitoring/managing deployments from the time they hit the MDIOC until they become operational
- System Test Coordinator - Work with System Test personnel (Event Mission Directors, Remote Test Labs, Govt. Reps)
- CESS Coordination - Support management of CTF assets in scheduling and deconflicting resources
- Deployment Lead Coordination - Work with Deployment Leads in planning, scheduling, and supporting deployments into CTF and Operations
- Agile Planner (Iteration/Sprint) - Align description and acceptance criteria to features relative to SysInt task, estimate hours and timelines to complete tasks, monitor/track/document progress of tasks through to completion or roll-over to next
iteration
- FIT (Fielding, Integration and Test) Scheduling - Ensure adequate Integrator staffing support to all events (Pair/Tri-wise testing, Cycle1, Cycle2 support, System
Events, GTI/GTD/Flt Tests, Cycle5, Operational support)
- Fill in and assume Team Lead responsibilities as needed Support managerial duties include:
- Budgeting, scheduling, scope, estimating
- High Level Project Planner
- SCRUM Master (Support)
Job Requirements -
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- Must be a self-starter with good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving
skills, and an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Able to cooperatively develop integration plans/procedures from sources such as
functional/performance requirements and stated technical capabilities, monitor the
integration of the test resources, execute these detailed integration procedures, analyze
integration results, and present the results verbally and in written format
- Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people within and external to the program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in troubleshooting of small to large scale infrastructure
Desired Skills & Experience -
- Ideal applicant should have either knowledge of or practical experience with industry or DoD test methodologies and terminology
- Experience with operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot), development systems (e.g., GMD, THAAD, Aegis), and off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages
- The integration of system components within an integrated test environment
- Working knowledge of system design and overall integration into an operational environment
- High proficiency with VMware, virtual servers, UNIX, including shell scripting
- Detailed knowledge of Windows and Unix environments; working knowledge in test plan/procedure preparation and test execution
