Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join a team in Sarasota, FL. The team creates web and embedded systems applications for the connectivity platform used for commercial, consumer, and golf vehicles. This position involves software development for the creation of unit tests and automated integration tests.
Minimum required skills:
- Software development, preferably using C#, Java, and JavaScript
- manual web application testing
- automated web application testing with Selenium or comparable tool
- manual Android native application testing
- automated Android native application testing with Appium or comparable tool
- Azure DevOps for work tracking and sprint management
- Automated testing in Azure DevOps Pipelines and Azure DevOps Test Plans
- manual and automated Android web application testing
- manual and automated iOS native application testing
- manual and automated iOS web application testing
- experience with embedded systems, especially Android based embedded systems
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, Masters Computer Sciences preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Quality Testing and development of testing environments.

Core Job Responsibilities:
- Develop manual and automated test plans for web, Android, and iOS applications.
- Implement automated tests using Appium, Selenium, or similar tools. You will have a key role in deciding which tools to use and how to best use them.
- Perform manual and automated tests of web and Android embedded systems applications.
- Identify software defects and enhancement ideas.
- Work with the product team to research customer requirements and determine how best to meet the customers needs.
- Log defects and track until issues are resolved.
- Work with the tech support team to reproduce escalated customer reported problems.
- Work with the operations team to develop automated reliability tests for the organization's cloud systems.
- Perform on-vehicle testing.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and bi-weekly planning sessions.
