Summary:
- Evaluation of various Li-Ion battery supplier technology for technical alignment with customer needs and project requirements
- Complete due diligence on battery supplier's solutions at the cell, module, pack, and container level
- Comparison of battery supplier technology to develop comprehensive evaluation of key characteristics to identify differentiation and market leading technologies
- Stay informed of the latest technological trends in the stationary storage market and inform the product manager of the impact of those trends on future product roadmaps
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and standards as applied to stationary storage batteries and battery containers for the stationary storage industry
- Responsible for hardware and software requirements development to facilitate the purchase of battery cells and packs from cell OEM's
- Participating as a key SME in development of battery technology that may include packs, containers and BMS
- Support service team in addressing battery issues for deployed projects
- In depth understanding of components within a battery pack/rack
- 4 years' experience in the design and development of high-voltage battery systems.
- In depth knowledge of battery chemistry including latest advancements in battery technology that differentiates relative battery suppliers to the stationary storage market
- Knowledge of system engineering principles pertaining to battery packs and battery systems
- Technical knowledge in a broad area of engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Controls, Materials, Thermal, Safety, Test/Validation, Manufacturing)
- Technical communication skills at all levels within a company
- Passion for battery technology and interest in sharing knowledge with others
- B.S. in Electrical or Chemical Engineering
