An OT (Operational Technology) Security Officer plays a crucial role in protecting an organization's operational technology systems from cyber threats. The OT Security officer is responsible for supporting development of risk assessments, remediation and mitigation planning, supporting SME's in other teams in understanding OT Security requirements, and describing and advising on implementation of appropriate security controls and prioritization.

Responsibilities
1. **Risk Assessment**: Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities in OT systems and evaluate potential risks.
2. **Security Policy Development**: Develop and implement security policies and procedures tailored to OT environments to ensure compliance and best practices.
3. **Monitoring and Incident Response**: Continuously monitor OT networks for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents promptly to minimize damage.
4. **Collaboration**: Work closely with IT security teams to ensure a unified approach to security across both IT and OT environments.
5. **Training and Awareness**: Provide training and awareness programs for staff to recognize security threats and understand proper security protocols.
6. **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure that OT systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as NIST, ISO, or other industry-specific guidelines.
7. **Security Audits**: Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.
8. **Incident Investigation**: Lead investigations into security breaches or incidents within OT environments to determine the cause and implement corrective actions.
9. **Vendor Management**: Evaluate and manage third-party vendors to ensure they adhere to the organization's security policies and standards.
10. **Continuous Improvement**: Stay updated on the latest trends in OT security and continuously improve security measures to adapt to evolving threats.
