Job Opportunity: SharePoint Content Editor/Creator
We are seeking a talented SharePoint Content Editor/Creator for a 10-week engagement (late January - early April). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transition from an existing intranet content management system to a modern SharePoint intranet.
Role Overview: As a SharePoint Content Editor/Creator, you will play a pivotal role in editing and creating content within our SharePoint intranet site. Collaborating with various teams, you will ensure content is accurate, well-organized, and engaging. This role does not involve technical administrator duties or site architecture work, but familiarity with SharePoint page-building tools and best practices is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and format existing pages on the SharePoint intranet to ensure content is clear, concise, and visually appealing.
- Transfer text, graphics, and other media from various sources into SharePoint pages, ensuring consistent formatting and style.
- Collaborate with content owners to gather and update information, ensuring it aligns with organizational standards.
- Create new SharePoint pages and design layouts that adhere to template standards, are user-friendly, and visually engaging.
- Ensure all SharePoint pages are optimized for readability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
- Work with various departments to ensure content on SharePoint is accurate and consistent.
- Troubleshoot any minor issues related to content display and layout on SharePoint pages.
- Ensure all content adheres to internal branding and style guidelines.
- Proficiency in SharePoint page-building tools and content management best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent formatting and style.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams.
- Familiarity with optimizing content for accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
