We are seeking an experienced Assembler Mainframe Consultant to join our Mainframe Modernization Project, transitioning legacy systems to modern cloud or on-prem solutions. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in transforming a mission-critical system while leveraging your expertise in Assembler, COBOL, and IMS.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modernization projects and insurance policy administration systems, particularly CLOAS. You'll support the system's daily operations, resolve incidents, and contribute to the design and implementation of new solutions that align with business goals.

responsibilities:
- System Support & Maintenance:
- Monitor and resolve system failures, job abends, and policy-related incidents.
- Ensure seamless integration and interaction with peripheral systems.
- Incident Management:
- Analyze user-reported issues to identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Assist users in completing business activities by addressing system-related challenges.
- Modernization & Development:
- Redesign and rewrite legacy Assembler and COBOL components for compatibility with modern platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration to cloud or on-prem environments.
- Solution Design & Implementation:
- Design, develop, document, and test solutions that meet technical and business requirements.
- Support changes through rigorous testing and implementation processes, following change control protocols.
- Data Reporting & Compliance:
- Generate reports for data analysis, business activities, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including SOX audits.
