Position Title: IT Solutions Architect - Enterprise Systems and Cloud Services
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated IT Solutions Architect to join a rapidly growing IT team within a mission-driven organization. In this role, you will design, implement, and support complex IT solutions across the enterprise while ensuring the efficient and effective use of these solutions by our users. Your expertise will drive operational improvements, streamline infrastructure, and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to gather requirements, evaluate, design, and implement critical business software solutions, ensuring they align with organizational goals and improve existing processes.
- Continuously monitor service health and enhance proactive monitoring processes for better service insights, early alerts, and optimized service management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Software, Digital teams, and system administrators to promote best practices and efficient technology use across the organization.
- Define and document standards for systems design, testing, implementation, and security, ensuring all team members adhere to best practices and compliance regulations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Knowledge Base articles, and Troubleshooting Guides, empowering both users and administrators with self-service capabilities.
- Drive scripting and automation initiatives to address common challenges, improve efficiency, and streamline routine IT tasks.
- Serve as the go-to resource for resolving complex IT issues in a proactive and timely manner.
- Partner with the VP of IT & Security to identify skills gaps, provide training, and help build a robust and resilient IT function within the organization.
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and resolving IT service issues, using logical problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and effectively address issues even when unfamiliar with the service.
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering new enterprise solutions from start to finish, including requirements gathering, implementation, documentation, and operational handoff.
- Significant experience managing complex multi-forest, multi-tenant, and multi-cloud environments, with the ability to configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot these systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Technical Expertise:
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 services, particularly Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Teams, SharePoint, Security and Compliance Center, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 integration and migration projects (e.g., on-premise to M365, M365 to M365, Google to M365).
- Experience with Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC High, and AWS GovCloud environments preferred.
- Knowledge of Fortinet network equipment is a plus.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 services, particularly Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), Teams, SharePoint, Security and Compliance Center, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.
