Job Summary:
- We are seeking a CMDB Integration Specialist to manage the seamless integration of configuration data from PWC's Terrain Insights into our company's Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The ideal candidate will be skilled in API integrations, data analytics using Power BI, and have a solid understanding of IT asset management.
- This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate data transfer and alignment with IT service management (ITSM) processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to maintain data quality and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Data Integration: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and transfer of configuration data from Terrain Insights into the CMDB, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
- API Management: Utilize and manage API connections to automate and streamline data transfer processes between systems.
- Power BI Reporting: Use Power BI to analyze, visualize, and report on data trends, providing insights to support IT asset management and CMDB improvements.
- Collaboration: Partner with CMDB, ITSM, and IT asset management teams to ensure alignment with organizational standards and processes.
- IT Asset Management: Contribute to IT asset management efforts by integrating and maintaining asset data within the CMDB.
- Process Documentation: Document integration workflows, API usage, data transfer methods, and any challenges encountered.
- Data Quality Assurance: Review, validate, and reconcile integrated data to maintain its integrity within the CMDB structure.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify, propose, and implement optimizations in the integration and asset management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in configuration management, data integration, API management, and IT asset management.
- ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Technical Skills: strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail in data management. Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Communication: Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders.
- Tools Experience: Experience with PWC's Terrain Insights, APIs, Power BI, or similar data analytics platforms is preferred but not required.
