Randstad is seeking a skilled Senior Automation QA Tester to join a client team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in quality management, test automation, and development within DevOps frameworks, with expertise in Java and modern testing tools. This role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through the development and maintenance of testing frameworks, the execution of QA strategies, and collaboration across IT projects of varying complexity.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated test frameworks and QA processes.
- Develop and enhance internal tools and QA workflows.
- Contribute to projects of all complexity levels within diverse IT development environments.
- Review formal test plans, documented test results, and project deliverables; generate compliance checklists.
- Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements for QA tasks in enterprise-wide processes, including test life cycles, change management, and release management.
- Assist in creating standard operating procedures and metrics for the QA team based on best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements throughout the QA lifecycle.
- Conduct investigations into technical and operational issues, producing QA Root Cause Analysis documentation.
- Recommend actions regarding software defects and project timelines.
- Prepare, maintain, and review QA documentation for all phases.
- Verify compliance with documented system requirements and QA standards.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members in QA practices and methodologies.
- Support ongoing development of QA strategies aligned with best practices and quality deployments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- 4-7 years of experience in systems development and/or business processes.
- strong knowledge of quality management and QA methodologies.
- Expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and test automation for DevOps.
- Core Java development experience (Java, Core Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlet, JDBC, Angular.JS).
- Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation.
- Proficiency with testing tools, with Jira Xray experience preferred.
