You'll play a vital role in keeping our wireless network compliant.
We're a Federal Communications Commission licensee, and that comes with a number of legal responsibilities.
You'll help various submarket teams understand the laws and regulations, and you'll submit documentation to the appropriate regulators on behalf of the business.

You have network / regulatory experience and enjoy helping teams understand and adhere to standards. You have an extensive knowledge of wireless communications, and you're able to explain things in a simple, easy to understand way. You're a critical thinker and a good problem solver, with an interest in and aptitude for research and analysis. And you're energized by the opportunity to share information with partners across the business, and team members as well.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated positive, proactive leadership abilities.
- good financial acumen
- good Project Management skills.
- good organizational skills, being detail oriented and having the ability to work independently, accurately and effectively in stressful and fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FAA, FCC, NEPA, SHPO) and general regulatory procedures.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and work quickly,
- good Knowledge of RF power calculation skills, running EME / RFE reports data collection/analysis/propagation tools and RF test equipment.
- Good vocabulary and writing skills for business case, processes and other forms of written or verbal communication are a necessity.
- Team player attitude is a definite must.
- Proficient in database management.
Even better if you have:
- A Master's degree
- Experience with FAA and FCC rules and general regulatory procedures.
- Mapping experience.
- Knowledge of wireless communications engineering concepts and technologies.
- Proficient in database management.
- Proficiency in FUZE Modules, RFDS Module, Roof Master, Airspace, Tableau and Site Tracker
- Familiarity with Ericsson infrastructure.
- Must be self-motivated and resourceful.
- Knowledge of SQL scripting or VB Scripting.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VB macro creation and worksheet manipulation.
- Good Knowledge of client PO process

responsibilities:
We take our responsibilities seriously, and you'll be a key figure in making sure we always meet our legal obligations.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and monitoring relevant government regulations.
- Evaluating network projects proposed by submarket teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Providing guidance and direction on regulatory requirements.
- Preparing, submitting, and monitoring applications to, and status requests from, various regulatory bodies.
- Participating in and developing regulatory training programs.
- Identifying and mitigating compliance risks with partners in the business.
- You'll manage large-scale initiatives and collaborate with multi discipline teams to ensure work production meets and exceeds Sub-markets goals
- Managing large-scale complex build plan for regulatory needs in key markets. Profound understanding of HQ regulatory and compliance rules and create sub-markets specific strategies to deliver POR goals as per timeline
- Performing Project management for Regulatory team, creating reports, prioritizing and managing work with vendors.
- Partnering with HQ counterparts as well as working with sub-market's POCs to develop streamline processes which impact positively on regulatory function
- Work with RE team to enhance processes and documentation to improve cycle time on construction approvals; work with RF team to enhance processes and deliverables to improve cycle time on In-service approvals.
- Work with HQ POCs to drive self-audits for RF, Microwave and towers. Ensure filings are done in time with appropriate documentation.
- Interfaces with VZW Headquarters Regulatory Department to obtain construction and in-service approvals, and clear any discrepancies for existing sites.
- Manages vendors on every step of the regulatory filling e.g., AM Study, NEPA, National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA), and State Historic Preservation Organization (SHPO). Ensure proper FAA, FCC, NEPA and SHPO requirements are met.
