We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our clients dynamic team, responsible for managing and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on VMware solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supporting Active Directory, Microsoft servers, database servers, and high-performance storage solutions, while designing and troubleshooting complex environments. This role involves leading virtualization projects, providing 24/7 support, and collaborating with management to assess system needs. responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain both on-premises and cloud-based systems infrastructure, with a focus on VMware cloud solutions.
- Provide support for domain controllers, Active Directory, physical and virtual servers, database servers, high-performance storage solutions, and VMware infrastructure.
- Oversee Microsoft server environments, including MS SQL, MS SharePoint, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy, backup technologies, as well as Hyper-V and VMware platforms.
- Design, implement, and resolve issues within complex environments involving Windows, Active Directory, MS SQL, and VMware.
- Lead and manage systems and infrastructure projects, particularly those related to virtualization using VMware.
- Provide 24/7 support for server infrastructure as part of an on-call team rotation.
- Assist in the design and operation of network architecture.
- Continuously monitor systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Identify and troubleshoot inefficiencies and errors in Windows, Active Directory, and VMware environments.
- Oversee all activities related to computer systems management.
- Collaborate with management to assess and determine system requirements.
- Mentor and train new Systems Engineers.
