Responsibilities:
- creates software requirements, software, and software tests. performs code reviews, and refines software development processes. uses laptop and developer tools for day to day activities.
In order of importance the skills needed are:
- 1. Server side JavaScript / Typescript
- 2. Relational and non-relational databases. We tend to use PostgreSQL for most things.
- 3. Experience with one compiled language, such as C#, Java, or any C language
- 4. Scripting using POSIX shells and Python
- 5. Working knowledge of Application Architectures such as microservices
- 6. Working knowledge of DevOps processes with extra points for having used GitLab CICD.
- 7. Automated testing with Jest, Vitest or other framework.
- 8. Exposure to AI / LLM developer tools, and an enthusiasm for adopting them.

- Advanced Software development and testing
- Intermediate Software Architecture Knowledge
- Working knowledge of scrum team practices
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)

- Full SDLC exposure - projects from start to finish in enterprise environment
- Diagramming and facilitating collaboration
- Advanced AI tool usage for software development
