Position Summary:
- This position will help advance the Celebrus initiative within our organization. We are looking for a senior Celebrus engineer (specialist) with solid technical experience to assist in implementing/configuring the software that powers our enterprise-wide digital data collection platform. This is a unique opportunity to help empower analytics and marketing for one of the most viewed websites in the world.
- Responsibilities include working closely with technology delivery and architecture teams to define technical strategy (platform designs, system integrations, etc.), as well as engaging with program managers, business analysts, vendors, and senior management across multiple organizations to:
- Define and lead the engineering approach for complex Celebrus features
- Prioritize and drive multiple work-streams
- Coordinate across multiple teams and ensure technical requirements are properly communicated
- Write semantic configurations in the software
- Write vanilla JavaScript to maintain a custom data collection library
- Manage application hardware
- Test/Troubleshoot data collection for our digital properties utilizing front end debugging tools
- Test/Troubleshoot data collection for our digital properties utilizing SQL in a data warehouse
- Work with APIs - configure custom endpoints to receive data

Required Skills
- Intermediate JavaScript skills
- Browser debugging skills
- Solid understanding of Internet architecture (HTTP, Cookies, Browser Interaction, Firewalls, DNS, Web Hosting)
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Knowledge of enterprise server environments and architecture (distributed data centers, load balancers, etc.)
- Exposure to web analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, IBM Digital Analytics)
- Excellent communication skills

- Basic network architecture (TCP/IP, Firewalls)
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- Familiarity with big data environments and concepts
