responsibilities:
Here's what a typical day in this role might look like:
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to define product requirements and ensure the delivery of innovative, high-performance solutions.
- Design and develop electronic circuit boards, including creating schematics, selecting components, and overseeing PCB layout to meet project needs.
- Lead simulation and analysis efforts to validate and enhance the reliability and functionality of electronic designs.
- Establish and refine hardware design standards tailored to unique applications while aligning with industry best practices.
- Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting to validate designs, address manufacturing challenges, and resolve procurement-related issues.
qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field ( required )
- 7+ years of experience in designing and developing electronic circuits, with a focus on board-level design.
- The flexibility to commute to the client's facility up to three times per week within the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area ( not negotiable ).
skills: The most desirable skills for this role are:
- Proficiency in electronic design tools such as Altium Designer, CAD, or similar software.
- Hands-on expertise in PCB layout and design with a strong emphasis on manufacturability.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, paired with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
