Accountabilities
- Develop a standardized cost estimating and forecasting process and tool
- Develop a comprehensive cost database of achieved costs to capture cost knowledge for all investments.
- Develop an analysis methodology to review project costs vs internal and external benchmarks.
- Proactively challenge project cost estimates on request of senior leaders
- Develop and operate a database of estimated and achieved costs, with the ability to analyze by type and characteristics.
- Advise project teams on contemporary project cost management tools and techniques.
- Develop process for project cost review and challenge at any step of the End-to-End project process to support the governance established.
- Compile and analyze project costs across the organization in support of benchmarking.
- Collate and distribute achieved costs for integration into estimating database(s)
- Codify cost structure for all projects and deploying standardized cost evaluation methodologies.
- Bring analysis on our project cost, propose and lead improvement activities.
- Collaborate with indirect procurement & finance to target common improvements.
- Contribute to Project Closure Reports to ensure standardised achieved cost evaluation and recording.
- Perform and participate in project audits and Peer reviews on request.

Experience / Previous jobs required for the job
- A relevant project execution background, with more than 10 years in project cost evaluation, with a wide range of project types (from small to large, for number of area: infrastructure, expansion, sustenance,...)
- Large understanding of project process, in particular on project execution phase: contracting, FAT, SAT, commissioning, managing contractors
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Ability to think and work in complex structures
- Demonstrated influencing capabilities
- Ability to demonstrate challenge to the status quo.
- Must be mobile to travel and accompany project activity whenever required on sites.
- Must be able to influence and successfully deliver across a wide range of international cultures.
- Awareness of business environment and corporate strategic direction.
Critical knowledge and education required for the job
- Fluent in English
- Functional expertise in desired subject matter: project cost evaluation, project experience, capability in evaluating the right contingency for projects.
- Information and data management: ability to develop and share complex database on project cost in link with all sites and region
- Credibility: Need to be trusted by LTs. Proven ability to overcome blockers (real or put up!)
- Stakeholder Influencing & Management: strong influencing skills will be required to convince site Leadership Team and other key stakeholders of the need for change
