We are seeking a talented individual with a strong background in complex command and control systems. Candidates must possess experience in mission and performance analysis, as well as requirements solicitation, decomposition, and management. Expertise in applying modeling techniques for testing and verification is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in developing models that inform solutions for complex systems, particularly with DoDAF and SysML methodologies such as OOSEM or SysMOD.

responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary line of leadership for all Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team members, reporting directly to the Systems Engineering Manager.
- Maintain accurate metrics to track the team's progress and performance.
- Oversee all staffing responsibilities, which include interviewing candidates, addressing performance issues, and supporting the growth and development of team members.
- Exhibit technical competence in all team tasks to effectively review products and ensure quality standards are met.
- Lead iteration planning activities for the team.
- Analyze use cases and systems engineering artifacts, including the definition of Epics and Features, to implement customer-requested capabilities.
- Collaborate in the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), architectural documentation, and engineering estimates.
- Author and conduct both formal and informal engineering reviews.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance their skills within the department.
- Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate various tasks on short notice.
- Work under the guidance of multiple technical leads and product owners, interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality product delivery on time and within available resources.
- Adhere to DOORS processes and procedures.
- Review content and details of technical products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts as needed.
- Participate actively in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status updates.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 14 years of progressively responsible experience in Systems Engineering
- Experience in the development, integration, and support of large-scale, software-intensive systems- A Master's Degree may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, provided the candidate has 12+ years of relevant experience.
skills: - Experience with other MBSE tools, such as SparxEA or Rhapsody.
- Understanding of data quality with respect to the sustainment of MBSE models.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team to develop and maintain the physical, functional, and technical baselines required for the evolving Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) System.
- Experience with Agile methods, particularly in Epic and Feature definition.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and security accreditation processes is highly desirable.
