responsibilities:
- Partner with the Executive team to provide strategic HR counsel, guiding business and organizational plans, succession planning, leadership development, and legal matters.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Controllers on managing personnel costs and financial planning in alignment with the Fund's goals.
- Work with senior leadership to translate organizational priorities into actionable HR strategies, optimizing structure and fostering a culture of engagement.
- Support the CEO and leadership in interactions with the Board of Trustees, providing strategic HR insights and recommendations.
- Lead initiatives to re-engineer organizational structure as necessary and manage change processes to ensure smooth transitions and culture alignment.
- Create and implement comprehensive leadership development and employee training programs, fostering continuous growth across the Fund.
- Oversee critical HR functions such as performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and merit-based compensation.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to drive workforce planning, ensuring that the Fund is prepared with the talent needed to meet future challenges.
- Strengthen the employee value proposition by driving innovative, best-in-class recruitment practices to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Ensure compensation and benefits programs are competitive, aligning with the Fund's goals to attract and retain exceptional talent.
- Provide guidance on managing staff performance, addressing challenges, and mitigating potential organizational risks.
- Foster a strong culture of employee relations, driving high engagement, morale, and a collaborative workplace environment.
- Stay ahead of legal requirements and industry regulations (e.g., OSHA, EEO, ADA, ERISA, Wage & Hour), ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Serve as the primary liaison for legal matters, working with General Counsel and external agencies to address compliance and regulatory needs.
- Prepare and deliver insightful HR reports and analysis to Executives and leadership, aiding in data-driven decision-making.
- Continuously assess and optimize HR programs and services to ensure they align with organizational needs and fiscal realities.
- Anticipate HR-related challenges, develop actionable solutions, and implement them effectively to support organizational success.
- Advise on recruitment, promotions, and employment decisions, ensuring alignment with the Fund's strategic goals.
- Develop and refine HR policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of comprehensive HR experience, with at least 10 years in a senior management capacity.
- At least 7-10 years of experience managing senior-level teams and driving HR strategy at the organizational level.
- Broad expertise in all HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and leadership development.
- Strong strategic and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of HR systems, strategic planning, and communications.
- Demonstrated success in managing diverse teams and implementing effective HR practices across multiple levels.
- Established affiliations with reputable HR organizations and a commitment to best-in-class HR management.
- Preferred knowledge of the healthcare sector and its unique HR challenges.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Business, HR, or related field.
- Preferred: HR certifications (e.g., CCP, CEBS, SPHR) from leading HR industry bodies.
- Preferred: Bilingual proficiency (Spanish fluency, both written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel 10%-15% as needed.
