We are seeking a skilled Network Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the build-out and deployment of networks within the operational environment, collaborating closely with an agile scrum team to align work with customer requirements and contractual agreements. As the primary Network Engineer for the C2BMC Program, you will be responsible for planning, deploying, integrating, and testing network upgrades at various operational sites. This position requires travel to remote locations for network installations, as well as independent troubleshooting and regular status updates to program personnel. Job Duties -
- Serve as a Network Development Engineer supporting build-out and deployments to operational environments.
- Collaborate within an agile scrum team to plan tasks based on customer requirements and contractual agreements.
- Take on the role of primary Network Engineer for the C2BMC Program.
- Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network at operational sites.
- Travel to remote locations to lead network installations and conduct troubleshooting.
- Provide regular status updates to Program personnel.
qualifications:
Required Skills -
- Proficient with network firewalls, specifically Juniper and Cisco
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology) or equivalent experience/education
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience or 3 years with a related Master's degree
- IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance (minimum DoD Secret, Top Secret preferred)
- Practical experience in network design, development, and testing methodologies
- Knowledge of the OSI Model and TCP/IP
- Experience with routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF
- Skills in network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Hands-on firewall experience, particularly with Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
- Familiarity with UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs
- Experience with multi-vendor switching and routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimization, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Visio)
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and agile environment
- Understanding of standard DoD security practices, including STIG compliance and system accreditation processes

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as NFV, SDWAN, and VMware
- Experience in travel for deployments to various locations (e.g., Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe)
